Laborer: $16.00 - $18.00 / hr

Local excavation co seeking motivated people to labor for civil and residential excavation projects. Candidates must be prepared for physical work in all weather conditions. We are a drug free work place. Applicants must have a drivers license and reliable transportation. Can start tomorrow if you are able.

Heavy Equipment Operator: $18.00 - $28.00 / hr

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

o Pre-plan of work activities to meet contract, schedule and quality requirements including safety action plans.

o Reviews plans to ensure the work in the field is built to specifications.

o Oversee field personnel, schedules and construction operations.

o Manage field operations and coordinate work with other personnel and subcontractors.

o Provide leadership and direction to field crew.

o Responsible for job performance as it relates to company goals, safety audits and company policies and procedures including training, orientation, discipline, etc.

o Carry out job duties while maintaining company values.

o Emphasize safety, quality and production.

o Ensures proper safety equipment is available and used by all field personnel including PPE and fall protection.

o Trains and motivates employees.

o Performs a variety of administrative tasks including weekly schedules, production reports, timesheets, equipment logs, inspection reports, change orders, and updating project files.

o Will operate heavy equipment and assist with labor while completing all other tasks

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED

o A minimum of 5+ years experience in Heavy Civil Infrastructure or Heavy/ Highway construction industry is preferred.

o Desire and willingness to adapt to various work disciplines, contract types and Owners.

o Knowledge of occupational hazards.

o Ability to read and understand project specific documents including blue prints, schedules, standard plans and specifications.

o Ability to keep records and to prepare work and time reports.

o Experience with HCSS Heavy Job and input as build’s

o Ability to understand and efficiently carry out instructions.

o Ability to supervise the work of others and clearly communicate instructions to crew.

o Through knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work being performed

o Strong verbal and written communication skills.

o Must pass all company and other required drug and alcohol tests.

o Must be authorized to work in the United State and have a good driving record

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

o Works outdoors at construction sites.

o Frequently stands, walks, climbs, balances, lifts, bends, and moves objects up to 50 pounds, also must be ok with confined spaces on an occasional bases.

o Exposed to all weather conditions including very wet, hot and cold elements.

Salary: $18.00 to $28.00 /hour

Civil Backfill Lead: $22.00 - $29.00 / hr
